Frequently Asked Questions
Feel free to contact us with any other technical questionrelated to your project.
We are a team of experts with decades long experience in tooling, moulding and additive manufacturing. Having experienced the limitations of current processes and materials, we set up UFIM solutions to provide designers, engineers and anyone involved in the development of polymer products a fast and cost-effective solution for:
All at the speed of 3d printing!
We help reduce the risk of your projects. Whether it is R&D on a tight schedule or a customised low-volume manufacturing solution, UFIMsolutions will help compress your time to market.
We can produce your parts in most thermoplastic injection moulded polymer materials:
- high-performance plastics like PEI and PEEK
- carbon or glass reinforced polymers
clear polymers
- silicones
Simple parts can be produced in reusable moulds.
More complex parts that would traditionally require mould elements like side cores, collapsing cores, rotating cores and complex lifting elements can all be produced using our UFIM disposable moulds.
- MOQ's as low as 1 part out of the material of your choice.
- choose to have one design in several different materials
- or choose to have several design variations in several different materials.
Both insert moulding and overmoulding are possible.
Metal and plastic components can be overmoulded to deliver hybrid products.
Titanium, Stainless steels and a wide variety of polymers can be used in this process.
Personalised Injection Moulded products are for the first time available at a reasonable cost.
Use cases for this approach enable the democratisation of patient specific devices.
We enable production of a single part the mass customisation of a range of products.
For example using a metal mouldbase with 3D printed inserts allows manufacturers to offer a customised range of products without a large investment in injection mould tools.

We can inject any matierial curtrently used in the industry. We can inject high temperature materials like PEEk or soft rubbers.
The lead time to get injected parts from an open/close mould two to three days; for a complex component it may take one to two weeks. Of course, it depends on the amount of parts you request.
We will require you to supply enough material and injection parametres, and we will inject your parts in your proprietary material.
This technology helps the injection moulding business grow. It fills the gap between 3D printing and mass manufacturing. It reduces the risk of innovation. When you order your production mould, you are absoletely true it will work perfectly.
